Fort Lauderdale Fishing 3-3-14

Anglers fishing with me aboard the Reel Work out of Fort Lauderdale had a good day of fishing yesterday catching a sailfish, a big mahi, some blackfin tuna, golden tilefish and rosies. As usual, we headed offshore to around 800′ of water before we started trolling. It didn’t take long before the rods went off and our angler landed a couple of nice blackfin tuna. A little later we caught a decent sailfish and a big mahi. Things started to slow down and we still had plenty of time before we needed to head back in so I suggested we try some deep dropping. We were in over 800 feet of water so my mate broke out the electric reel while I looked for some good bottom. After a little searching we found the right spot and started catching golden tilefish and rosies. neither one of these fish is very big, but they are some of the best eating fish you will find in the ocean. We returned to the dock with some tasty fillets and happy anglers.

Lets go catch some big sailfish off of Fort Lauderdale! Fill in the form on the left side of this page, go to our contact page or give us a call to set up your Fort Lauderdale fishing charter.
