Fort Lauderdale Fishing Report 7/7/2010

It has been a good week of fishing when we have been getting out. Thursday and Friday the kingfish and bonita were biting pretty good. We got another big grouper on Friday as well. I wasn’t as big as the last one but 46 pounds is still big. Saturday fishing slowed down a little and Sunday/Monday were both bad weather days so we didn’t get out. Tuesday we had another group of regulars that fish with us every year. We started the trip fishing for vermilion snapper and they were definitely biting good. We got our 3 person limit of 15 fish in about an hour as well as 3 yellow eye snapper, 1 red porgy, and an almaco jack. While we were snapper fishing I heard some of the other boats catching some kingfish and bonita so we went trolling for them. The bite had slowed down and we didn’t get any kingfish but there were still some bonita biting and we got a nice blackfin tuna as well. That’s all for now, hope to hear from you soon.
